Professional Visit Pass Sarawak Document checklist 2024

The professional visit pass is a short term work permit for West Malaysians or foreigners to work in Sarawak. This is typically applied for when companies are engaged for short term project work in Sarawak in oil and gas, infrastructure or professional services industries. Eligibility requirements

Here are some eligibility requirements that companies and applicants should be aware of.

Company requirements	Applicant requirements
Must be registered as Sdn Bhd. Limited exceptions apply for professional services firms	Must be at least 27 years old
Paid up capital requirements are: RM250,000 for 100% Malaysian owned company RM350,000 for jointly owned company RM1,000,000 for 100% foreign owned company	Earning at least RM3,000 monthly
Industry approved by Sarawak government	Demonstrable special skills

For companies based outside of Sarawak (i.e. in West Malaysia/ Sabah/ Abroad): ● Section 14, 17, 58 & 236(2) Formerly known as Borang 9, 24 and 49 ● Company profile with SSM e-info receipt latest 12 months extraction with Digital CTC ● Purchase Order/ Tender/ Letter of Award from client in Sarawak ● Organisational chart ● Employment contract OR appointment letter OR Offer Letter ● Job Description ● Work Schedule ● IC or Passport of Company Representative	For Foreigners: ● Passport copy ● Resume, academic qualifications or professional qualifications ● Passport photo
