Our licences, and how to check them

Every credential we hold, who issued it, and how to check it yourself without taking our word for it.

The short answer

Agensi Pekerjaan Migratesafe Sdn. Bhd. (1034872-A) holds private employment agency licence JTKSWK0042-C/24, issued by Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Sarawak. We also hold Indonesian embassy accreditation 0010.IE-KC.APS.2022, verifiable on the SIPERMIT register, and Philippines Migrant Workers Office accreditation MWO-KL / 02-25. The licence is held by the company, not by any individual.

How to verify it, including ours

A licence number printed on a website proves nothing on its own. Anyone can print a number. What matters is whether it belongs to the company you’re actually dealing with, on the issuing body’s own register.

  1. Ask for the exact registered company name. The one on the SSM registration, which is often different from the trading name and the brand. Ours is Agensi Pekerjaan Migratesafe Sdn. Bhd., company number 1034872-A.
  2. Ask for the licence number. Ours is JTKSWK0042-C/24.
  3. Check that the two match on the issuing register. A real licence number attached to a different company name is the most common way an unlicensed operator borrows credibility.
  4. Check the accreditation separately. For Indonesian placements, look us up on the SIPERMIT register. That is a government system we do not control.
  5. Confirm who you are paying. Payment should go to the registered company, not to an individual's personal account.

What being licensed commits us to

  • Placements go through channels both governments recognise. We do not arrange informal transfers.
  • No recruitment fee is charged to the worker. Employer costs are the employer's.
  • Workers keep their own passports. We will not act for an employer who requires otherwise.
  • We tell you when a case will not be approved, before you pay.
  • We are answerable to JTKSWK for how we conduct a placement.

If something goes wrong

Three stages, in order. You are not required to exhaust the first two before going to the third.

  1. The office holding your file. Email visa@migratesafe.org or call +60 82 295 175 and say you are making a complaint, so it is logged as one.
  2. Review by the other founder. The complaint is reviewed by whichever of the two founders was not handling your file.
  3. External escalation. You can take a complaint about a licensed agency to JTKSWK, ILMU or JIM at any point. These are external to us and we do not control the outcome.

What to check before engaging any agency

  1. Does it hold a licence for the jurisdiction you are hiring in? A Peninsular Malaysia licence is not a Sarawak licence.
  2. Does the licence number match the registered company name on the issuing register?
  3. Is the fee structure written down, itemised, and payable to the company?
  4. Is it willing to tell you your case might be refused?
  5. Does it ask the worker to pay a recruitment fee, or to surrender a passport? Either answer ends the conversation.
