ALIANCE accounts and payments: frequently asked questions
Whichever module you file in, your company account and your payments run through ALIANCE. These are the account and payment questions GENESIS answers, in plain English.
These are the questions the official GENESIS FAQ answers about ALIANCE accounts and payments. Every figure, date and requirement is as GENESIS states it. We’ve rewritten the answers so they’re quicker to follow, and where GENESIS contradicts itself, we say so. If anything here ever disagrees with GENESIS, GENESIS is right.

Account and user management
Register an individual account for yourself first. Once you have one, you can go on to register the company account.
Once your main company has been verified, you can register its subsidiaries.
Yes. ALIANCE accepts employment agencies.
One of these, whichever applies to your company:
- An SSM document
- Registration under the Ordinan Nama-nama Perniagaan (Business Names Ordinance), or a trade licence
- A Sijil Perakuan Pendaftaran untuk Pertubuhan (certificate of registration for a society)
Both, if you have them. If you only have one of the two, enter that one.
Choose the primary MSIC code and sector when you register. You can add the others afterwards, under the company settings.
About three working days, as long as all the requirements are met.
Yes, provided the company has no applications under it.
They need to be registered on ALIANCE already. Then:
- Log in to ALIANCE SSO as the Company PIC.
- Go to Company Settings > User Management.
- Search for the employee’s registered account.
- Click Add User to add them to the company account.
- Choose the role to give them, and assign it.
There are four:
- Company PIC (person in charge): full access and permissions for the company. A PIC can add and remove users, edit and update the company profile, manage roles and assign permissions. Only a Company PIC can make someone else a Company PIC.
- Company Admin: can view the company profile in SSO, apply for and view all applications, and edit company information under Settings.
- Company User: can view and apply for applications, and nothing else.
- Company Nominee: can view and apply for applications, and nothing else.
No. You can only log in with your registered email address.
Check your spam and junk folders as well as your inbox. If it isn’t in any of them, contact GENESIS customer service on +60 16-811 0799 for help.
Set it up first. Go to Profile Settings > Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), add a device that has an authenticator app installed, and follow the instructions to finish the setup.
Contact GENESIS customer service on +60 16-811 0799, with an authorisation letter from your company, to retrieve it.
Yes, under Company Settings > Company Details. Your login email address is a different matter: you can’t change that yourself in the system. To change it, contact GENESIS customer service on +60 16-811 0799 with an authorisation letter, so they can verify the request and act on it.
No. Log in once at aliance.sarawak.gov.my to reach every module that applies to you.
Payment and billing
Only after your application is approved. You don’t pay anything before that.
In the system itself. Click Pay Now on your approved application, or after you submit a booking.
By FPX online banking, in the FWTA payment portal. That’s the only method: cash, cheques and other offline or manual payments aren’t accepted.
Either. FPX payments are accepted from business accounts and personal accounts.
A business account can only make a full payment. Once you start the payment, your company’s authorised bank approver has to approve it within three days, or it won’t go through.
No. Partial payments aren’t accepted, and the documents generated on approval are only released once you’ve paid in full.
You can pay from more than one account to make up the full amount. ALIANCE allows that when a transaction limit applies.
Thirty calendar days from the approval date. Since 1 December 2025, the full payment has to be made, and received, within that window.
Yes. An e-receipt is emailed to your registered address automatically after every successful payment.
Send GENESIS customer support an official request, by email to admin.genesis@sarawak.gov.my or on +60 16-811 0799, with these details:

- Tax identification number (TIN)
- SST number, if you have one
- Registered company address
- Contact person, for the attention line
- Email address

Yes. You’ll get an email at your registered address on the 7th, 14th and 21st day after approval. If the payment is still outstanding on the 30th day, your account can be suspended.
Your account is suspended from every ALIANCE module, including access you already had. The suspension is temporary and lasts until you settle the outstanding balance in the ALIANCE payment portal.
No. Access to every module is restored only once the full payment has been received and confirmed.
Three to five business days. Reactivation is automatic once your payment has been received and verified.
Foreign worker payments (SANSOLS)
Applying for a general or skilled worker through SANSOLS used to mean several separate payments at different stages: the Labour Licence (LL), the eVDR, SAFHIS medical screening and the Non-Sarawakian Identity Card (NSIC). From 22 January 2026, they’re combined into one transaction, paid up front. GENESIS gives four reasons:
- The worker is fully registered from the outset, so they comply with, and are protected under, International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Sarawak labour rules.
- You approve one payment instead of several, which is simpler for your admin.
- Nothing is held up between steps while you wait for a receipt.
- The total cost is the same. There’s no price increase, only a single payment at one point in the process.
This applies to foreign worker applications. An expatriate application on EXPRT is paid for only once it’s approved.
No. Under GENESIS’s current policy, once any step of the process has started, the fees count as used, because they’re administrative and service fees under the Foreign Worker Transformation Approach (FWTA).
