What is Resident Pass-Talent?
The Resident Pass-Talent is a ten-year federal pass for highly qualified expatriates already working in Malaysia. Unlike an Employment Pass it is held by the individual, not tied to one employer.

Who does it apply to?
Established expatriates in Peninsular Malaysia meeting the experience and salary criteria.
Key facts
- It is issued for up to ten years, against the Employment Pass’s one to five.
- It is not tied to an employer, so the holder can change jobs without re-applying.
- Spouse and children can be included, and the spouse may work.
- It requires a track record of employment in Malaysia; it is not an entry route.
